Marvin has many musical influences from Bach, Django Reinhardt, and Joe Pass to David Gilmore. He has played with musicians ranging in sound from rock to classical to jazz and everything in between. Marvin has his B.A. in classical guitar performance and has taught as an adjunct at Jacksonville University and Bclles (Bartram campus). Marvin helps anyone learn to read music, play by ear and make your own songs. Sindel can teach you how to play over 100 scales in a few short half hour lessons. He can also show you how to name and play over 1000 chords and how to apply them to music. Marvin has a wealth of teaching experience, gained over many years as a professional musician and instructor. With his dedication to his students and innate understanding of many styles of music, Marvin is a valuable asset to The Lakewood School of Music.
